Waterhead is an upcoming game set in The Lovely Ladyverse. It features an explorable 3D world, obscure 20th century history and a cast of characters including the work collegues Ida argues with in her head, a family of farmers that are starting to regret inviting her, and a vile vile vole. It is slated for release on itch.io and Steam in 2026.

A Little Bit of History

The story of Waterhead draws from the Viennese interwar period (often called ‘Red Vienna’) when radical socialist politics aided in transforming the impoverished capital into a thriving metropolis. If you’d like to learn more about this period of history Das Poppy & Mia Kunstkollektiv reccomends the books ‘Die Erste Stunde Null’ and ‘Das Rote Wien 1919-1934’ (but only if you can read German) and for aspiring abulators the pamphlet ‘Rotes Wein’ (but only if you are in Vienna).
